Some years ago, Portugal made a candidature to organize the Americas's Cup 2009 in sailing.The winner proposal was Valencia, so instead, a new project arise, in the place where should have been all the competition logistic infrastructure, with a Bionic Tower. The project didn´t go forward but it seems that others are considering even more ambitious related ideas in Moscow, Tokyo and Siberia.
