A Change for the Better

It's good to know that sometimes we humans use our skills to the best and is especially interesting to see that specifically in the information business area there are people aware of the social responsibility to the human general welfare and progress. Two of the most notorious and remarkable examples are the google.org and gatesfoundation initiatives. See for yourself what is their mission, but i think we can say is essentially about a change for the better.

Update: Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without a reference to the One Laptop Per Child Project (OLPC) by MIT that developed a low cost laptop aimed to education proposes in developing countries.

Update: DonorsChoose.org - Teachers ask, You choose, Students learn. I'd like to see this concept extended to the rest of the world.
